I have always loved and longed to travel; to explore new places and discover foreign lands. My wanderlust was fuelled by postcards and gifts sent by older Irish cousins exploring far-flung places, and copies of travel magazines which I treasured until they fell apart.

I am always planning my next big adventure or impulsively booking an exciting break away. Whether it’s wandering through a muddy Fronsac vineyard chatting with the winemaker or camping on the grounds of a remote monastery in the Zanskar Valley, the authenticity of the experience for me is key. With over two decades of working in luxury travel and tailor-making trips spanning the globe, I now specialise in Africa, a continent that continues to wow me each and every time I visit.

My first taste of Africa was visiting Diani Beach in Kenya and Tsavo National Park with friends. That particular beach resort is now long gone and Tsavo is a very different place but the Kenyan hospitality and East African charm that first captivated me still remains.
